    Hello, I am a new member and am looking into the topic of race simulator because I want to build one for my son. I have ordered most of the parts such as wheelchair motors and power supplies, I already own the Arduino, motor drivers and potentiometers. I came across the following motor driver on Ebay: Screenshot_20241201-220010.png
    Can someone write something about it or does anyone know if there is already a compatible Arduino sketch for two motors?

    Are you designing gears with direct contact ?
    As in the attached picture or will the belt be between the sprockets?
    If direct, it seems that there will be too few teeth, and it will be difficult to set the level of the signal from the potentiometer/halo sensor precisely.
    My gears have 84 teeth and align perfectly:)

    I'm planning the gears with direct contact, actually the number of teeth doesn't matter as long as they mesh tightly, don't you think?

    Today I tried everything for the first time with smc3, i used two btf7960 drivers until the 100A motor driver arrives.
    The first thing I noticed was that the right motor ran without any problems, but the left one kept failing during quick movements.
    Then, after some testingt he power supply of the left motor broke
    As recommended in the forum, I turned both power supplies down as far as possible (left motor 19,1 volts, right motor 19.6).
    Have you protected your power supplies in any way?

    Fast movements cause damage to IBT2 :) I also had another case, take off the engine cover and check if the chinaman didn't put too much grease in my case the grease got between the gear discs and somehow glued them together which caused a lot of load when the engine was moving.

    So you mean opening the motor gear? I always thought you can't grease it too much... It's not the motor driver that's broken, it didn't even get warm. The power supply is broken...
    Do you think 500 watts might be too little?
