    Secondhand wheelchair motors are likely the cheapest option.

    That said, these days I would suggest servo motor driven DIY actuators are a better way to go for a 6DOF.

    Use the Enhanced by Google search on the Recent page to find DIY actuators, then sort by date to find the most recent projects, as there has been a lot of evolution and enhancements to DIY actuators.

    A 6DOF is a complex and expensive project, do plenty of research and planning before diving in to the deep end.
