    Hello,

First of all I have to say that I find this forum very interesting.

I have read here for many hours and carefully collected a lot of information.

Today I wanted to present my 2DOF prototype.

It's not finished yet and still needs a lot of work and fine-tuning.

I think I've already done the most basic thing and it works so far, see video.

For the project, I based my construction on SCK Gaming, only I wanted the steering wheel and pedals to move with it (not like SCK Gaming).

and I have to say it's cool that you can do something like that yourself.

As already written, it's not finished yet!

A few aluminum tubes and fasteners for the pedals and steering wheel are still missing.

A few aluminum tubes will also be shortened and the rig will be put on wheels.

I found the settings and Simtools V3 difficult because in the videos I saw there was probably an older version that looked completely different.

I also find the load changes to be too violent, which I will have to adjust later and I also steered with a controller in the video, which of course reacts too strongly.

    I still have some questions:

    1. Are there videos where I can watch the settings for 2DOF on Simtools V3?

    2. I think the seat wobbles or still has a lot of play or is that normal (see 2 video)?

    3. Do you have any suggestions on what can be improved?

    4. I want to install 32 inch triple monitors and don't know whether they should be installed permanently or installed so that they move? What do you think about the more weight that has to be moved?

I hope for positive feedback from you and would like to thank michail he helped me a lot at the beginning.

Great job and thanks for sharing your rig :thumbs

It takes some time to refine a motion profile, be it with SimTools v3 or V2. As v3 is currently in pre-release Beta testing there is limited member generated guides, but do grab the associated manual and read the Qick Start guide: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/simtools-v3.401/

Wormdrives tend to have a small amount of backlash, related to lubrication needs, a small amount of positive weight balance bias can sometimes help minimise the associated affect: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...tor.net/community/faq/wormdrive-backlash.293/
