    Hi All,
I'm new to actuator motion, and also posting on XSimulator, please bear with me as I start this process. Was quite motivated by the excellent thread by @LukeBrown
I have built a 3DOF actuator rig using QTY 3 mega-monster actuators from PT-Actuators. This rig is replacing an Obutto R3, and I'm mostly into flight sims. Below are pics of before and after. The rig design is from scratch, I was able to purchase 6m of 4080 and 6m of 4040 aluminium profile.

I have a NLR V3 seat mover which I used with the R3, and have fitted that to the rig, but won't introduce it's capabilities until I work out the rig movements.

I have nil knowledge of Simtools and FlyPT's software, (and have only used FlyPT to this point )but I have experienced enough over the past two evenings (will share later) to decide to not do much more until I fit an e stop button of some sort. I also need to design and make a floor based keyboard stand.

I can afford to lower the rig a bit closer to the floor, but is there any advantage to keeping it as high as it is? your thoughts are very very welcome.

    Cheers, John 20200823_202029.jpg 20200823_202043.jpg original.jpg

Thanks for sharing your rig :thumbs

I expect lower would be closer to a more natural roll center.
