Please do not post one detail per post. It clutters up the thread and makes it appear as if you were spamming for coins.

I edited your posts for you to clean them up.

Nice build, and thanks for sharing the files. I look forward to your finished project.

With that kind of motors I don't see the need of a heave assist.

From what I am seeing (I have a 3dof AC Platform) - He will have heave.................he looks to have a square tube that will move up and down - and is surrounded with roller bearing for tube stability and
ease of movement....................on top of this tube, he has the u-joint attached..............IMHO, it will work.

    Tom

PS - I use a 7 tooth Spline Shaft and Shaft Collar - Mine has spring assist.

Sure it will work, I just don't see the need of any kind of assist or central guide.

As "Close" as his three motors are together, a U-joint/Central guide is not necessary, "assuming his motors/gearheads are correctly matched and heavy-duty enough............
IF his motors "were" spaced further apart (like mine are) then a U-joint/Spline Shaft / and in some cases, a support spring are necessary................all depends on the total weight
of the of the top platform including rider.

Sorry @cthiggin , we are talking about his design, please don't take it bad. Also we are just assuming for the looks because there isn't any description, just looks like he is using powerful ac motors in a super compact design. I hope my fellow countryman gives us more info soon.
