    Hello all!

I’ve decided to take the plunge, and build myself some motion for my SimRig.
I’m not sure yet what to do first. I have bought a broken GS3 seat, most because I’ve always thought it was intriguing, and really wanted it when I first heard about it when it was in development. (Yes I’m old.).
So when I saw one (that didn’t work) for sale I jumped at it! This was a few months back in time.

It still doesn’t work, but that’s mainly because I haven’t had the time to look at it yet. .

Yesterday I read the post to @srcuck, I don’t know why, but that made me go from want to build, to build mode. It’s not like I haven’t read any of your other post, and amazing builds with tutorials.

I definitely want to make/fix the G seat. I also have two of these: upload_2022-12-9_17-49-30.png

I also have some hall sensors, arduino boards (I don’t yet know if I’m going to use it.)
And some other stuff. As I was inspired yesterday, I just bought it when I saw a local had it for sale. ‍♂️

    OK so to the point.

I know I want a Gseat, with Seatbelt tensioner.

The next step are either a 2 dof platform
    Or a traction loss system.

With time I want a 3dof with with traction loss.

I think I want to build out of 8020, because it’s easier and I can’t weld. (The rig I have now, I have built out of wood.) upload_2022-12-9_17-49-30.png

As I’m not a motion expert, I’m all up for your opinions, on what work the best.

I will use it with VR. (Used VR since dk2, and won’t go back.) I don’t find enjoyment in screens anymore. That’s just me, I know others like 3 screens better and so on.

I mostly do SimRacing, but I also enjoy to play other types of sims.
I’m not going to be worlds best racer, I’m in SimRacing and Sim to enjoy the experience.

Ok, just had to make the first post. Next time I post, it will be more about the planing and building.
