I have received my JRK 12v12 and the hall effect pots.
Also received an email saying my motors had shipped yesterday!

Awesome I think to myself and then notice that I had ordered the 150/160 RPM variants of the PGSaw motor.

Are these going to be useful and/or is there a way to mod them down to ~40 RPM?

    Cheers,
    Sean.

Can you provide a link to the motors you have purchased?

Why in the Frack would you want to slow them down to 40rpm for ?

The ~40RPM was based on a previous link I saw from a member's build and/or I have early onset dementia. ;)

Here is the link to the motors I purchased, which I cannot post since I have less than 5 cumulative posts.

Ebay Search "Details about GEAR MOTOR 12 VOLT GREAT FOR SAWMILL/CRAB POT PULL/FEED 150/160 rpm 25:1 ratio"

    Cheers,
    Sean.

I think 60rpm is a minimum to get enough speed...

    Good to know, thanks!

Been side tracked by real life but hopefully get back to this project at some level this weekend.

The possible linear speed really depends on the available torque and CTC of the attached lever for a given design and load.
