Hi guys, I'm quite new to motion sims, so please bear with me and my endless questions. Here's just some basic info about me and my sim. I'm based in the United States, I have some decent coding skills, & I can tinker with components pretty well. My current cockpit is a NLR F-GT, I'm on pc, and I'm running Fanatec GT DD Pro 8nm. Also I think my pc isn't a issue but here's the specs, 9900k, 3080, 64 gb ram.

So here are my questions for you guys:

Where should I place a realistic budget, I was thinking of 800 to 1200 USD, for the motion components.

Can I tinker enough to put the motion unit on a F-GT or should I get a aluminum extrusion cockpit. I just really like the Formula seating style so I never got a aluminum rig, but I can do it if necessary.

Does anyone have a shopping list or line item list for all components needed?

What kind of specifications should I look for on actuators, like how much power and travel? Any Brands?

What marketplaces should I shop, I'm mostly interested in Amazon/Aliexpress but I can go for another if they're cheaper and credible.

How much space do I need for a motion platform, I'm not super tight on space, but I'd like to space efficient, and want to see if I'll have enough space in the area I'm planning to put it in.

    Thanks, all help is appreciated.

Budget depend geographically where you are, your currency exchange rate, and type of hardware purchased, particularly if that includes commercial servo actuators.

Before you do anything, including place orders, first define what type of rig you want to build, research similar projects and seek feedback from the community here, in the long run that will save you time, money and unnecessary frustration.
