    Hi everybody,

    I'm trying to configure the Dirt Rally Plugin, I think it's installed correctly, patched, and simtools detect when I run the game, but in tunning Center there're not game data output.

    Could be a problem of the game instalation? of the plugin...? I have intalled some plugins and it's the only that I have problems.

    Thanks.

    The output testing is correct, I move the axles, and I can use another games.
    I have patched the game and I have run it later, I have tryed to remove it and repach it.
    Yes, I have rebooted the PC some times.
    I have downloaded the plugin some days ago.
    I'm thinking that the game is installed in a secundary hard drive, but other games works fine...

    If output testing and other games work then it is likely a configuration, patching or conflict issue @franccac.

    The install on the secondary drive should not really matter, if it is 64bit Windows the the patch path is C:\Users\Your_User_Name\Documents\My Games\DiRT Rally and if it is 32bit Windows then it should be the install directory on that secondary drive.

    Can you please try unpatching, run DR normally, close it then repatch it.

    If your having problems getting DR running with simtools ,, Codemasters has a long standing problem with the Proxy server issue ,,,,

    There is a fix you could try to see if thats your problem..

    Thanks,

    Where do I specify the port change in the programs I use? In my case I use the following:

    - Simtools
    - Sim Commander 4
    - SLI Max Manager pro
    - Sim Hub

    How can I configure Codemaster Proxy??

    You solved it?
    If not i hope i can help you partically with - was solving the same thing:)
    Easier then Codemasters Proxy...

    You have to edit file harware_settings_config.xml in \documents|My Games\Dirt Rally\hardwaresettings.
    Find and edit part which begins with
    <motion_platform>
    and end
    </motion_platform> and edit it like that

    <motion_platform>
    <dbox enabled="true" />
    <udp enabled="true" extradata="3" ip="127.0.0.1" port="20777" delay="1" />
    <udp enabled="true" extradata="3" ip="127.0.0.1" port="4123" delay="1" />
    <fanatec enabled="false" pedalVibrationScale="1.0" wheelVibrationScale="1.0" ledTrueForGearsFalseForSpeed="true" />
    </motion_platform>

    This way you should have simtools AND Sim Hub working.For rest of your stuff you have to find out which ports the software is using and add another row like
    <udp enabled="true" extradata="3" ip="127.0.0.1" port="PORT NUMBER FOR SIM COMMANDER" delay="1" />
    for each software. Problem is if any sw uses the same port, then you have to change it somehow or maybe that Proxy server will help, not sure there, i needed only simtools and simhub and got it working now:)

    Good luck there!

    Likewise.

    As of this week I've started having issues with motion in DiRT Rally as well.
    It was working fine before, and I tested it last month after re-installing everything on a new PC build.

    I've made a few inquiries in the thread for the plugin, as well as trying to explain the issue in as much detail as possible.
    https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/codemasters-dirt-rally-plugin.6823/page-31

    Hopefully we can grab the attention of the author (value1) or someone who may be able to assist with any possible fixes.

    Funny how it started happening just as DiRT Rally 2.0 is about to be released.....damn you Codemasters!!!!!! ;)

    If someone is also using Sim Commander software for SimVibe or their SimXperience wheel, they should also add this line (in bold print) as well:

    <motion_platform>
    <dbox enabled="false" />
    <udp enabled="true" extradata="3" ip="127.0.0.1" port="20777" delay="1" />
    <udp enabled="true" extradata="3" ip="127.0.0.1" port="4123" delay="1" />
    <udp enabled="true" extradata="3" ip="127.0.0.1" port="10001" delay="1" />
    <fanatec enabled="false" pedalVibrationScale="1.0" wheelVibrationScale="1.0" ledTrueForGearsFalseForSpeed="true" />
    </motion_platform>

    I can add that a fresh install of Dirt Rally and plug-in, all works. No Sim Commander.

    ...and yes the Audi group B, the simulator on 100% force and a bumpy road is awsome fun :)
    (even on a very quick configuration/tuning)
