    Hey guys,
Brett Horton here (new to the forum)
I am a systems integration guy and sim race fanatic!

Looking to convert my Obutto Revolution and add 2DOF with Traction loss.
Should I go Seat moving (including shifter) with traction loss on the entire rig, or 2DOF the entire rig with traction loss entire rig?
Looking at 380 ish lbs with me and rig.
Running VR (Rift) so no monitors
Just starting my BOM and any suggestions are welcome and needed!!!

Yeah, going the seat mover on top of a traction loss platform. I want the quickness that the seat mover offers.
Now to decide whether to build out of wood (Probably will, due to ease) for my first, but love the "Class" of the box tubing frame..... Much easier to learn with wood....

I think you will be happy with choosing box tubing frame, it just looks so good compared to wood! :p Looking forward to see your progress on your project, I'm also doing a 2 dof project that im 80% sure will be with traction loss too (If my spare time permits it :D)

Yeah, after I typed the previous response, I thought about it more, and really want to go the tubing route... More work but the end result will be worth it.

I am waiting on my Obutto revolution frame to arrive (tomorrow)
I will assemble as normal, get all things working then start the process.
I have my welder ready and have started ordering supplies as well...
I usually hit things pretty hard when I set my mind to it.
Now if I would stop traveling sooooo much with work.....

All (most anyway) parts ordered and some delivered at this point.
Will start my build in a week or so.
Decided to go the 2DOF seat mover with full frame traction loss.
Metal build using the stock Obutto revolution frame (Front half)
    Pics to come soon!

    Morning Guys / Gals
Quick question, I am a "Gold" sponsor and when I try to download the software or plugins it says I do not have enough coins...
Thought that was the whole reason to become gold?

All my parts are in less misc. little stuff.
The motors came in in just over a week and was expecting them to take a month from Canada...
I am going to start the build this Thursday through the weekend!!!
Doubt I will have it all finished by then, but will be darn close.
Getting excited and sure I will have some software / setup questions coming soon

Exciting times, though things often take longer than expected. Don't rush things like carefully checking wiring polarity ;)

There is still a fair bit to do in creating and refining motion profiles even after you get your sim is built and moving, though to be honest that in itself is exciting as it really brings your sim to life.

Certainly, I really mean getting the main rig built then the learning process on the software side

Anyone have a link to convert these specific PSU's for the sim rig?
I am taking one to work tomorrow and get one of my Electrical Engineers to have a look.
