Here is the new user manual for SimTools v2.4! :cheers
    https://simtools.us/wp-content/uploads/2019/06/SimToolsUserManual-v2.4.pdf

There are pictures for everything to make setup and configuration easier and really help out our friends that don't speak English as their first language.

This manual has a lot of information ranging from Installing SimTools, Registering SimTools, Adding Game Plugins, both Game Engine & Game Manger, Tuning Center and allot more.
There is even an appendix with allot of useful information for Interface & Project builders.

This took us months creating pictures and good explanations for every part of SimTools. :grin
    We hope you like it!
(If you see any mistakes or if something is unclear, please let me know so we can correct and/or update the manual.)

    Take care,
    yobuddy

    Hello @yobuddy,
i'm not through yet, but THANK YOU for the manual!!!hug: It makes things so much easier for me!
I already found 1 things which isn't clear for me:

    - In SimTools GameEngine -> "Axis Assignments" i cannot choose "Generic 2D Advanced". I have a DIY-licence (V2.2.5). Is this the reason?

Is Page 66 correct with the description of the sliders? The sway slider is moving left in the diagram, but the description says it should be moving right.

That is the old and obsolete SimTools 1.3 info and will likely only confuse people, as there are some significant settings and interface changes to SimTools 2.

I'm just working on my first 2 dof simulator (seatmover) and this manual helps me a lot. Thx for that.
Starting on page 30 there's an example of a seatmover. At the beginning you're writing that it will provide roll and pitch. But then in the axis assignment you're choosing sway and surge instead of roll and pitch and in the pictures it's sway and surge as well. On pages 31 and 32 it's the same mix. Is that correct? For me as a rookie it's confusing...:think

    @Onesus,
A 2 DOF seat mover can physically Roll and Pitch.
Meaning it can lean forward and back, and from side to side.
But we want to run the sim with Sway and Surge, because we want the sim to replicate the GForces produced by the game, and not simply match the current roll and pitch of the vehicle in the game.
I hope that makes sense buddy.

I'll take a look at the manual and see if I can make it make more sense.
    Take care,
    yobuddy

I'd like to ask for a clarification on Main Level %. In the PDF manual, this is described as smoothing control.

Here, however https://www.xsimulator.net/simtools-game-manager/ I am under impression it is multiplier.

Is Main Level % master multiplier for forces sent to Hardware or is it smoothing control? Thanks!

The Main Level % adds smoothing to all of the inputs from the game.
It makes the inputs less twitchy should the games output not be very smooth.

(Just a tip: to much smoothing can cause some delay in the output from the game.
So less smoothing is better in most cases.)

    Take care,
    yobuddy

Please be aware that you can dual language post but it is part of the Forum Rules that you also include English, doing so via Google Translate is fine: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/threads/forum-rules.9527/

    Good morning, sir,
Thank you for all the development work you're doing.
With the Pro license, I had received the User Manual-v1.2
I found a new version of User Manual-v1.4 on the website.
Could you, if possible, indicate in a table the pages impacted by a new version of documentation?
I think it would be useful for other users as well.
Thank you for the care you take in understanding your documentation and SimTools V2.4!
