Welcome. My adventure with the construction of the trea simulator is almost 7 years old. All this together improved her conscience and stability, and finally it was time to revive him. I made many players happy with this project;)

Frame made of 2mm thick profiles, seat bases, pedals, steering wheel, gear levers made of 3mm sheet steel. Elements cut with laser, powder painted.
Stable strong construction with full adjustment range. Seat with Honda Civic VI

.. I started with the model to make sure I could run it from the electronic side, and I succeeded

now I can only pass engines using SMC3 and although I have the LFS game installed with SimTools 2.4 I can see the game parameters, but I can't transfer it to Arduino.
And you will probably find a solution to this problem quickly.

Now that the model is tested, I can start working on a real simulator, it will begin to collect elements for assembly:

I will take a Mercedes seat, I prefer standard seats rather than sports seats

I have modified the base so that it can be used for the rest of the structure

I also have a steering wheel, pedals and gearshift lever

I just received a gear motor, they are used but without looseness and in good condition and price ;)

I unscrewed the pipe fittings and the magnetic brake from the rotor.
They work quietly and without play, I will mount them on a 12V power supply

    the construction began well ...

Unfortunately, the basic set does not match the height of the current seat and steering wheel, I will have to make another one, the reason is the larger steering wheel and pedals - previously it was G27 ,
now it will require a big change
    P_20200314_173434.jpg

Improved design, now I can mount engines

for now I can only move the engines using SMC3 and although I have the LFS game installed along with SimTools 2.4 I can see the game parameters, but I can't transfer it to Arduino.
I will probably find a solution to this problem soon.

Can't wait to see how this project goes. For a more reliable motor driver you may want to look at a Sabertooth. I found that Monster Moto boards run hot and fail especially if they are Ebay specials.

    Thanks for asking Retrro77 , I am 74 :)
for the time being for the test model, I'm not very good at electronics so it was the biggest challenge for me. Welding structures is not a problem, but for now I am looking for engines - for new ones I have no money and those from windshield wipers are rather good to start with
Do you know why I can't connect to an Arduinogame? Do I need a license for Simtools?---
thank you for the noorbeast that explains it to me--

Cooling is not a problem yet - the car weighs 1kg ;)

Yes. Check the forum rules but you will eventually be able to get the DIY license for Simtools. Just stay engaged in the forum. You will need around 250 coins for one week of unlimited downloads. Or alternatively you can purchase a membership.
