    Hello everyone,
I'm a long-time casual reader of this forum, but only recently actually joined. The work done here is to me extremely exciting, and opens a lot of doors. :)

My question relates to using the force output provided by the force-extractor with ethernet based controllers, as opposed to the directly interfaced type generally used with x-sim.

Looking at all the different types of motion simulators used out there, a very large amount of motion simulator caters for the outsim protocol defined by LFS, and picked up by other developers as well (almost all recent Codemasters titles). Hence my speculation is that it could make life a lot simpler for people with existing simulators if x-sim can somehow output whatever force data it extracts from the game being played directly in outsim format to a specific IP on a set port. General standardisation for motion simulator interfaces is of course not a bad thing, either, it could mean that more game developers will be motivated to adopt the protocol as well. This would also mean that anyone with a simulator that supports this protocol can use x-sim without having to reprogram or modify hardware controllers, limit switches, etc.

Is this perhaps already already implemented (not impossible that I've managed to miss it!), or if not, is any programmer here perhaps able to comment on if it is practical to implement something like that?

    Thank you in advance!
    Bruce
