Hi all. Im looking at cleaning up my setup alittle bit. For the lever/control arm that connects to my motor I made a steel one and its fugly. Looking around other builds I see these very nice aluminum connecting arms and cannot find anything online that I can buy. Does everyone own a cnc mill or am I missing something?

    Thanks

SimuKit used to sell these cranks that could be customised to suit, they are not operating anymore but you can try their email or Discord to see if there is any remaining stock: https://simukit.com/gb/

I struggled with my motor's controls arms. So I decided to mock one up in fusion 360 and 3d print it. Went though some trial and error till I got it right. After I was happy with it, I sent the drawing snd stl file to a CNC shop to make. Cost me about $150 USD + shipping for both arms. Expensive but It fits like a glove.

    Good luck.

Im going to try and mill my own but i don't have a full mill. If I fail, would you be willing to share your fusion file? I use solid works for my printers so I can make the changes needed for my output shaft but it would at least give a good starting point.

    Thanks

I did a thing! I only have a drill press and some basic metal tools, BUT here are my new control arms.
I bought a end mill bit and very carefully and SLOWLY, milled these out of solid bar aluminum.

-P.S. - Thank you adgun. The hand reamer worked perfectly and the fit is extremely tight.

    Thanks Yinger
I am happy to hear becauce i made a mistake the hole must be 16.7 not 16.9 mm before the reamer
This is the old way to make presice holes.
