think, planmix could help you with programming. You should Thanos ask if he would handle an arrangement to disskuss further things out.

    Hi to all!

This is a new video that John (planmix) made using my AVR motion controller v1.5 (old fixed one)!!

    Its awesome!!!

    Hi,

John (Planmix) just released another video that shows straight flight, cold winds, to demonstrate the reaction of the motion platform.

    Hi,

Just wanted to mention the John (planmix) has released a whole new batch of videos regarding the remake of his 6DOF motion software by using matlab this time. Since its seven new videos, I compiled a playlist to see them all:

    Hi,

Jonh (Planmix) gave me a visit yesterday and he bring his 6DOF rc platform along to upgrade its electronics a little bit. I was surprised to see it in motion with all the new algorithms he has done lately. I believe that his camera really sucks!! Anyway, I kept it for the upgrade and I decided to show you some good quality video of it in motion! Just be sure to activate the Watch in high quality function of the youtube!!! :)

    6DOF motion platform: New Algorithms - 03:28

Here is a short demonstration of the new 6DOF algorithms that John (Planmix) developed. The new washout routines are really awesome!

6DOF m. pl.: New Algorithms, Bad weather effects - 04:37

Here is a demonstration of the new 6DOF algorithms being tested on bad weather. In this video you can see clearly how much active it the motion of the 6DOF in real flying conditions!

    Really amazing.

But at minute 0:11 and 0:21 the platform seems to make uncorrect movements from what I see. The planes nose goes upwards, and the platforms front side (towards the screen) goes downwards. Imho thats not right. Or am I wrong?

Or perhaps the servo-model does stand with the backside towards the screen...

    regards
    Christian

No its motion is all correct! When you pull the stick to climb you feel a great loss of acceleration! Thats why it leans forward, but it also sways to the back! In a fully enclosed simulator you will find this action realistic! But I tried it again with a jet fighter plane and haven't seen the front to go down so much, during the extended acceleration of the afterburner! Its up to the airplane's physics to get the proper motion!

And something you didn't noticed... If you take a close look on the horizon of the aircraft on 0:11 and 0:21you will see that its shifts subtle to the left and right during rotation caused by sideway winds in this particular flight. This causes the tail of the platform to sway and bank a little, while rotating even it seems it should not. I used real weather update from Jeppesen in this case and its really cool to fly it with real weather conditions!

    Hi,

Here is another one. Not as spectacular as the two previous, but you can see his GUI interface in action! :hacker:

6 dof washout software (tuning parameters)
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVS4PUlj8Ps

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XVS4PUlj8Ps

<This is my progress. I put some parameters and the outputs on the screen, so to be easier to tune the washout algorithms. The next step and the most difficult, will be the auto-tune part. The user will be able to tune the algorithms by flying specific sequences and then answering questions and making suggestions. No numbers!>

As always be sure to enable the watch in high quality function of the youtube to be able to see the details!!

    Nice vid.
Maybe it would be cool if you get camera on the platform to see how its moves.
