hi, just to let you know about the project i am going to (try to) undertake.

I aim to motion enable the seat part of a playseat evo (similar to ua6aak's seat) but keeping within the size of the original playseat and retaining the fold up and store high wife acceptance factor of the playseat.

i aim to add a ball joint/universal joint to the cental spa of the playseat at the cg point (or just to the rear of the cg point) of the seat then add 2 wiper motors driven by tronics AMC to facilitate pitch and roll like in ua6aak's seat (front mounted motors)

the seat itsself will have a x-frame added underneath for attaching the mount points for the control rods, stabilizer rods and ball joint (stabilizer rods will also be connected to the central spa of the playseat)

initial sketches to follow this evening (or tomorrow am)

Hello, I may add that I have designed something similar

Mine has a removable frame for the wheels and pedals. You will need to get the weight balance as right as you can, and yes you can adapt something like what ua6aak's seat.
Also, see here 2dof-motion-simulator-with-a-rotation-axis-t1531.html?hilit=drift , granted they put adrift frame underneath, but they use an existing playseat.
    Have fun designing!
    Cheers, David.

Looks good in concept drawings, yes a 2DOF does most people it seems.
