I was having a great time with my rig 2dof+TL all working great with simtools over the moon and all down to this site and youtube (shout out to Dr.adhd awesome resource and down to earth style)
I tidied up my wiring and fitted everything into a box and put aviation sockets on the rig for data and power cables
Now nothing works ive stripped it and ordered new replacement arduino and 5 new ibt-2 but no joy
I start smc3 utilities the potentiometres are relaying the position of the motors when moved manually but motors don't respond to smc3 sine triangle motion ect
Motors work when direct to power so arduino is working motors are working and i have 10 ibt-2 and im bare bones trying to get 1 motor to respond to smc3 tried each ibt in turn im sure 10 aren't faulty also the fact all 3 axis worked then nothing works

Any suggestions as always greatly appreciated

    Im Baffled
    Kind Regards
    Matt

Well that sucks. Check the grounds. Aka the ground may be different among the devices. Something wrong there could cause all three axes to not move.

Check the power and ground on your breadboard or circuit board. If 5v got disconnected it might not be correctly powering the bit. Sound like you high power voltage is working this is about the 5v and ground signals for the other side of the ibt.

Use manual mode and set a position say full positive. Post a screen shot of the SMCUtils screen.

Check the voltage coming out of the Arduino, Even though it’s PWM a voltmeter on DC should read 0-5 volts. The yellow line on SMCUtils shows the software output signal. Also make sure that the motors are “Enabled”. So full positive should mean 5v on one of the PWM pins. I always just check both pins.

Is the correct port set for the new Arduino?
