    Hi All,
I started building my sim a few months ago, I was not happy with the movement and changed the design. Now I happy with the movement I cant get simtools to connect.
I can get the movement working in SMC3utils but I cant see what my error is in the interface settings.
The only change on the pc side was a program I had installed but have reinstalled windows and simtools yesterday and have the same issue. I tried different com ports and numbers, different ardunio and usb lead.
I have come to ask for some help.

    Ardunio uno r3
    Cytron MD30C's using Blame's sketch
    hall effect sensors
    motion dynamics 12v 200W motors

Can you please try temporarily disabling the Windows firewall and any antivirus, to see if either are messing with communications.

Is a Default profile configured in Axis Assignments and then checked with Output Testing?

The comport 4 looks right, given SMC3, but you can double check in Device Manager to be certain.

Thanks for the reply Noorbeast, it seems to be the firewall or windows antivirus. All the other settings were ok.

    Thankyou for the help

That being the case SimTools can be whitelisted with the firewall and antivirus.
