Myself and a few others in this forum are having the following issue with Force Sender 2.1.03:

When the program runs it seems to be having trouble connecting to the chat server although it is not being blocked by any firewall and my machine has full Internet access. It did work for a few days and then all of a sudden it stopped working and there were no new programs installed on the PC. The only workaround was to uninstall 2.1.03 and install 2.07 on the Force Sender PC only. The Profiler PC is running 2.1.03 and this configuraiton is working fine.

I have also tried running everything on one PC with 2.1.03 and the same thing happens.

My Sender/Gaming PC is a Dual Core 3ghz with 4GB RAM and Windows 7 32-bit and the Profiler PC is a P4 3ghz with 1gb RAM running Windows XP SP3.

Has anyone found a workaround to this issue?

If you installed using the Commander, you are temporarily being logged in as SimXperienceUser. You can try creating your own account via the force sender, although I doubt that this will cure your issue, it may help. We built this into the Commander to help to try to avoid these connectivity issues and the forced account creation as well as to help you get up and running more quickly.

I do not have any loss of connection issues here, although I have heard many people saying the same thing. Lets hope that 2.1.0.4 will solve this problem when it is released.

I don't see an option for creating an account using the sender (must have missed that). I will try and see if that works for me.

    Thanks

You can use the Commander to reset your X-SIm login. Then the next time that the sender runs, you can enter in a new name and password and check the create new login checkbox.

I tried clearing the auto logon and clear username and password from the Commander Misc menu but that still did not fix it. I also used the registry cleaner and a reinstall of x-sim and I still get the chat program in a stuck offline state.

Does anyone know of a fix for this issue.

Sirnoname, is there any way of disableing the chat login on the force sender client as this seems to be the difference between 2.07 and 2.1.03. Will there be a release that gives you the option of not using the community services?

I resolved the issue. At first I thought it may have been an issue with Windows 7 32 bit so I did a reinstall to Vista 32 bit and still had the same issue after the install with UAC disabled. Even after enabling UAC, 2.1.03 chat services were still stuck in an offline state. I'm using a DHCP address but as a test, I decided to change my IP address to a static one, disabled antivirus and then ran x-sim again. This time I received the prompt to create a user account or log into the chat server. After testing that chat was working and the Force Sender was working, I changed my settings back to DHCP which reverted back to my old IP address and also enabled antivirus again. X-sim is still working and the chat services are now online (go figure)..
