    My Motion Simulator:
    2DOF, SCN5
I started getting involved in Sim racing about five months ago. I researched different options for month. Inside Racing was one of my best resources. I knew lots about computers so that was the easy part. I built a game computer from scratch.

I had all this done while we were in Montana during the summer months. I purchased at CSR steering wheel, elite pedals and a inexpensive cockpit for 299.00.
When we got back to our home in Mexico, I have a great welder and I put him to work on some pictures and concepts I had in mind and you can see the results. I'm all set to put on my new motion actuators. I was just about ready last week to purchase them from sim regsimimage1.jpg regsimimage1.jpg regsimimage2.jpg regsimimage1.jpg regsimimage2.jpg regsimimage4.jpg regsimimage5.jpg regsimimage6.jpg regsimimage7.jpg regsimimage8.jpg regsimimage9.jpg regsimimage10.jpg regsimimage11.jpg regsimimage12.jpg DSC00123.JPG regsimimage13.jpg regsimimage1.jpg regsimimage1.jpg regsimimage1.jpg regsimimage2.jpg regsimimage4.jpg experience but after some e-mails with them asking some technical pre-order questions and shipping times. I just didn't feel warm fuzzies with them. I felt if I was getting slow response times on quick easy answer questions. How would they operate if I had a real problem? So I backed off. I know I want the SCN5 150mm Motion actuators. I'm thinking about purchasing them from a distributor and making my own power supply and USB connection. My welder can also make the dampening holders. The software I will use is X Sim motion software. Even though this interface is a little more techie I don't mind that. I'm not making this decision because of the difference in price even though this is a couple of hundred dollars less.
Support when you have a problem is important to me and I just didn't feel that withsim experience. If any of you have had any warranty issues with them I sure wish you would let me know if you were pleased or not and what would you grade them on performance. A, B, C, D, “not good”
I haven't given up on them entirely yet. sim commander Motion simulator software interface looks pretty intuitive. So I'm tempted to go with them because of that.

    Nice setup there, really detailed.
So is a seat mover planned then?
Just a note, DC motors are JRKS run as fast if not faster than SCN5 and are stronger, but do take a bit of fiddling to setup.
Software wise, x-sim and simcommander are not supported here, so you will have to seek help elsewhere for that part. Simx dont really like a buyer using their actuators outside their recommended setups.
Simtools runs SCN and is free, and more games supported than the others.

@reggieone, if your staying with xsim ya on the wrong site mate, SimTools is far better and faster and way less technical to get running plus we support a lot more games then they do. Please consider using this, there will be a world of support for you sim if you do.
Good luck, very impressed with the overall rig, well done.

Stick with SimTools you wont regret it, much better user interface than the other, more games supported.

I played with the other software and you need a phd to understand it just look at the video tutorials.
