    Hello,

Recently I am having an issue when starting up any game.
I get a quick two tone double beep. All devices are running ok.
When booted up I can get into Game Engine and test all outputs fine.
Then when trying to launch a game I get the double beep. After that the output test in Game Engine also fails with the double beep.
When removing the AASD15A interface and add it again the output test works. And than it starts the double beep again when lauching a game. :sos

I have never had these problems before.

@Thanos is best placed to give advice.

Is the double beep a USB disconnect notification?

    Hi Noorbeast,

From what I have been testing is that in some rare cases I can launch a game. (mostly not) After I get the double beep I cannot get it to work anymore. Sometimes I can remove/add the interface, but sometimes I need to reinstall simtools 2.6.

The funny thing is normally I startup a game and almost instantly my rig goes to the neutral position. Now it takes much longer if it starts working or I get the double beep.

I don`t get the windows disconnect sound, so it doesn`t seem the board is losing connection to the PC.

I`ve tried diffrent USB cables and USB ports 2.0 and 3.0.
    @Thanos I`m using the thanus4u board.
I noticed that the tx led is blinking red in a certain patern. 3 seconds on and 3 seconds off. When it is working it is solid red.

    Thanks.

The double beep sound in Simtools usually signifies an issue with one of the COM ports not being found, check your COM port settings and check the different interface tabs if you use more than one.

Hi, I have checked the com ports. No matter what USB port I use it is always com8 in Windows, as configured in simtools.
    I only use 1 interface.

I don't use the AASD15A interface, so am not familiar with the tx indicators.

But it pays to map your USB ports on a sim rig, where it is common to have a lot of USB devices, to ensure USB controllers are not being overloaded, leading to disconnects: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/simtools-usb-issues-can-cause-crashes.313/

SimTools is sensitive to USB disconnects.

Ok thanks Noorbeast, I have disconnected the thanos4u and hooked it up to my laptop. So there is no blinking red on the tx led. When testing output in Simtools tx led goes solid, so this seems correct.
Disconnected everything from my gaming PC and only hooked up the thanos4u.. still blinking red on the tx led :thinkmmm

    Found it!

It was Simhub scanning COM ports.
