Will a Pentium IV mobile with ~2GHZ be enough for a math calculation speed of 1-2ms, even if I have a full grid of math table entries?
    Or even less processor speed?

I am planning to use an old laptop with nothing more installed on it than WinXP and XSim2, as it bothers me that I have to leave the active game window to tweak the profiles.

    regards

    Hi Chris,

i will test it today evening. I got a Pentium celeron 1,6Ghz Laptop at home. (USB 2.0, 1Gbit ethernet (will use only 100Mbit)

It´s without any special software, or services, so a test should be very meaningful. The only thing missing is a full grid of complex math entries. Do u got some examples i can use?

    regards
    René

Ok, i´ve done it as you said:

    Calculations/sec 600.000 - 700.000
    Math engine cycles 160.000
    synaptrix output/sec 900

98 - 100% CPU load on the profiler core, but the game runs smooth on the other core :) No delays or freezes in switching between game, profiler, and windows xp

Ähem, i only use a core2duo e4300, what´s wrong with my values, seems to be too much.

Next, i publish benchmark for pentium M laptop 1,6Ghz.

Edit: CPU load on the screenshot is better than wrote, because i made the screenshot with focus on the profiler not the game.

    regards
    René

Seems to be windows xp (32) and Vista (64bit) problem...

Would be interesting to know what calculations/sec other users get.

Please publish your OS, Hardware configuration and math outputs and synaptrix.

    regards
