Totally agree @f1iceman with the new runtime ,its brillant , even Elite dangerous , I can now play in VR with no lag in graphics and all I can say is wow,
Only disappointment is waiting for Assetto Corsa and Iracing and Dirt Rally to keep up.
Oh well at least I can enjoy Pcars in Vr.

Any news for the poor guys with the simx wheels and simvibe have they got them working yet in Runtime 1.3. Poor buggers.

i have not been aboiut much since xmas but had the odd time over last week or so to pop in to the sim n forgot everything ! lol but so many things have changed with update since xmas, the ones behind are assetto corsa iracing and thats not good as they the ones i like the best, but saying that pc is evolving so they still trying to get it better all the time which can only be good thing.
i can not do a thing without using the dk2 atm don't want to switch my monitors on at all.

Have you tried the world scale in the vr setup :) can only say awesome to that i can get a real size for the cars now, i really was'nt expecting that at all.
i think if nobody got project cars and you have the dk2 you should get it now as there going to be long wait by the sounds of it for another race game to play for quite some time.

just imagine now the cv1 and the new graphics cards.

    I tried it too.
pCars with 1.3 is a huge step forward but... I still don't like the game; the experience though is great.

I haven't been able to make the switch work with 0.5/0.8/1.3 to play assetto corsa.
With my previous switch (0.5/0.8) it worked and I even edited it to load my AC settings for OR or screen.

I'll start from scratch again tomorrow trying to have 1.3 and 0.5 working

I agree the Pcars physics is not as good as AC and you can't mess with mods the same way, but the VR support of AC is just so limiting, you can't even get to tuning menus.

I do hope AC devs implement proper VR support, I would swap back in a heart beat, but until then from a VR perspective I consider there are more advantages in moving forward, including the use of the latest runtime, which makes such a difference.

Adding to that that switching from runtimes is a mess. I was able to switch no problem from 0.5 to 0.8, now with 1.3 and after a lot of hours I'm able to switch from 0.5/0.8/1.3 but just in direct mode. extended mode in 0.5 is not working.

Unless I'm able to solve this I'll have to choose:
    1) keep 0.5/0.8 and play AssettoCorsa/Dirt Rally
    2) keep 0.8/1.3 and play Dirt Rally/pCars in its fully enjoyable VR support

i just ballsed all my system up.
i ran out of space on my hard drive due to oculus stupid home saves to c drive so was emptying out so could save the stuff on the homes page like luckys tale ect...
i have no idea what i did to my system but i ran project cars and was running at 8fps made me feels sad with all the work i gotta do to find it all back again to work.
i ain't to sure how to delet fully the rift stuff as it remembering thing on the unistall.
but did all that and no diference after reinstall.
going to try the graphics drivers clear out and re install.
worst case would be full system wipe and start again.

what annoys me isd i was really exited to have a few more tests with the project cars setting so gutted.
don't think i have a back to go back to tho so stumped atm.

By default it installs in C:\Program Files (x86)\Oculus\Software
I also noted it today, and I removed all the stuff I downloaded cause in c: I just run the system
It's so annoying the fact it doesn't let you choose where to save games/software but just use its own installation path

BTW I also took the time to play some pCars and better tune simtools and the rig and now, with the great addiction of a less problematic VR support (I always suffered nausea before 1.3 update), I'm starting to enjoy it...

if only AC had the same VR support...

i can not find y mine is now running at 8fps tho
i can not see what i would have done to cause it.
just running no rift software and now re done graphics drivers run the game with on rift and runs at 20fps on monitor.
something is very broke in my project cars i think.
i tested out no limits and runs fine on monitor no problems.
    wierd.

glad your enjoying the update as its really a taste of thing to come, and it is like bying a new rift dk2 to me.
