Question Right rod end and left rod end

    Hi, im working in my first 2dof. I will buy a rod end, but dont know what is the difference between right rod end and left rod end. Could you help me?
    What kind of rod end do I need to build my 2dof?

    Hi Eduardo,

    I think what you are referring to is the "handedness" of the threads. If you pair a right and a left on a single pushrod, you can lengthen or shorten the rod just by loosening the lock nuts and turning the rod.

    If you use the same thread on both fittings, then if you turn the rod all that happens is it screws deeper into one fitting and out on the other. The way you have to adjust things then is to disconnect a fitting at one end and adjust both threads separately.
