    Hi Guys,

Im just trying to prepare to make my final plan for my 2dof seat mover.
I have seen different posts come up to do with the safety and protection of the scn5's, and debates about how you can mount. So thought I'd ask specific to my requirement and project.

I want to do similar to simexperience 2dof.
    I have the Simxperience dampers / scn5 actuators /usb adapters /power supply/ sim tools
And tested all working from Pcars on xbox one.

I have had this for a few weeks now, and was waiting for oculus to build my sim pc. So xbox was for testing (got htpc to run simtools)

Well I got a email 1 month early and it will be here tomorrow.
So just ordered a gaming PC to build that will arrive tomorrow also (stupidly thrown together because it said 20 mins to ship today: 6700k 4ghz / gtx 1080 / 16GB 3200Mhz DDR4 and all the other junk).

    The design
My room has a split level floor with just the one step. This was in my movie room, and it was built to raise the seats to watch a movie on the projector. Now what was once fancy, is now a hindrance!

Basically I need the bottom of the dampers to be level with base of seat...

I think it works out similar to ...
    EXAMPLE
    [IMG]

I noticed the bottom of the damper/brackets have different fixings to simXperience. Will this matter?
Does anyone have any knowledge or link to information regarding 2dof seat movers with scn5's?

Im just making sure i don't do anything silly, and end up with a bad motion rig, or worse a broken rig :(

Anyhelp and advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Cheers

Your rig is good, i think I seen it before on my journey around the internet. Been reading about this stuff for 2 years. Lots of stuff going on there!! ;)
Im off to bed now but...
Going by your rig, if I shortened the dampers, and raised the base point, does that mean I would take the measurement of that area from yours?

For example, the base fixings would be closer together, and closer to the seat.
This would keep the same pattern as yours (trace it) but this would cause the base fixings to not move around much on that rodend thing (in comparison).

Can you see why the feel maybe different? and if not, why wouldn't everybody do it this way (heighten rear fix point) to make a narrower less long rig?
