I have a set of older Frex SCN5 actuators (converted for simtools) that have been working great for years other than a sheared pin on one (fixed by Frex).

I am working to refine my sim a bit, tighten things up, etc, and I had some custom bolts machined for the eyelets where the shafts tie to my motion portion. I am also ordering some custom eyelets that are nylon lined to reduce chatter even more.

After getting those installed, I noticed that one of my actuators has play in it, as you can move it up and down just ever so slightly and it causes a lot of noise (think metal on metal chatter) that I would like to eliminate if possible. It almost seems like the one that was repaired has less chatter and play, but I honestly can't remember which was which.

Could it be the pin getting ready to fail or is there anything else that could be tightened up? Does anyone else notice this looseness/play?

    Hi matey
Check the side to side movements from the shafts or could be the nylon worn in side.
I think mine have same issues tbh if you find my video on youtube under dirt rally vr motion you might hear it if its the same noise.
The self lube bushes have worn on mine something i must sort out at some point.
