    One lap around Spa with my diy setup
    I have just pitch and surge set up.
    The belt adds a lot of immersion, more than the motion imo.
    Also bass shaker diy, rumble pedals diy and windsim diy (all with simhub). I usually race with earpods so I don’t hear the system; it’s very noisy and cluncy.

    yes, I do like belt tensioner feeling. You may benefit more if there is not slack in the belt. You will gain in reactivity and won't be unsettled by the slap.
    You will need torque controlled. What kind of motor do you have? More close up picture please? :)

    I know it looks a mess but it works. If I can make it work, anyone can. Next step is cable management and if I look at the pics some vacuumcleaning
