    Hello everyone!
I'm a super super newbie about mechanical/electrical things, but I'm trying to learn and improve, and I really love this community.
I see many project with, a part different number of dof, more or less the same geometry, a seat lean on a base moved by actuators or motors.
I was thinking is it possible to change completely the geometry and still using simtool?
I have in mind a kind of "ring" where a seat is in the middle more or less like the one in pict. That pict is just a draft with no much sense, but just to give you an idea.
I was thinking to start to make some test with no bare metal just motors, arduino and sabertooth and see if it works.
Any comment will be much apprecaited

    thanks

The design isn't all that far from a standard Joyrider sim. There's a few members that have and are currently working on Joyrider designs.

Thanks a lot for the replies, well yes my aim would be a 6DOF, with a free 360 loops in each axis, but for now it's ok just with two axis and not necessary a 360 loop. Basically one motor should follow axis X (+X and -X) and the other axis Y (+Y and -Y).
For now I really just want to learn and I'm not going to build any metal sim infrastructure, it's ok just playing with the motor, watching them spinning using the simtool.
I have a sabertooth 2x32 and found two DC motors 24v , I recover also an Arduino Mega from a previous project, but I'm still wondering if simtool will be able to manage it and I think I have also to adapt arduino software, I look in FAQ for code example of people using arduino and sabertooth, but I'm still learning.
