    Hello,

Simtools and iRacing work very well together but having participated in many endurance races as a team, I found that the actuators continued to operate when a teammate took the wheel, which is rather tiring.
I have a circuit breaker (electric) to stop the actuators but when I reactive they stop responding, forcing me to leave the iRacing session Simtools quit, restart, and the session.
My question is this: is there a way (software) to pause the actuators and restart them while remaining in the session?

    Thanks.

3DOF, DC motor, Arduino, Motion platform, 6DOF
That is a good question, perhaps @yobuddy could comment.

I have a similar issue; when I review replay's between practice/race sessions I have to turn off simtools and then restart it or I get bounced around (you really do not want to fast forward or reverse , lol).

EDIT: An easy mechanical fix would be to put your actuator/motor power source on a switch that you can reach from the seat. I have mine on a separate power strip that I mounted next to the seat.

My understanding is that the next version of SimTools has a disconnect button so you can make changes in the Game Engine without having to quit the game, so that could be used once the next version is released.

    Hi Guy’s,
The problem here is “when the telemetry data flows from the game” is really up to the game publishers.
I would guess that most of the games that support telemetry have never actually been connected to a simulator for a game author to actually ride.
A lot of them probably never even had a simulator in mind, and just a dashboard or something else.

So @noorbeast is correct, a Stop/Go button is included in the next version of game manger.
And I have a little feature called “remote profiling” I'm working on where we can communicate to game manager thru UDP.
In other words, anyone could make a tray app that allows binding a keyboard shortcut for the Stop/Go button in game manager.

    Wouldn’t that be handy? :thumbs

While you're waiting for the next version of simtools... if you use SMC3 then you can attach another POT and enable the motion "volume" scaling. You then have a knob that you can wind down to zero when you don't want to feel the motion.
