I install simtools both version 2 and 3 with my notebook, and I can use it and motion worked normally for a year. But last month it just had problem. When i connected the monitor to hdmi port, motion had unusual movement immediately. When i unplug cable from hdmi port, it's back to work normally again. when i connect steering wheel to usb, it also had error.

I searched in this forum to find out how to solve the problem. I tried to close antivirus and firewall, delete simhub, reinstall software it's still error. And finally i found out that it occurred from fanatec driver of my new steering wheel. When i uninstalled it, motion worked normally again.

But last week, this problem occurred again. But now I don't know how to solve it and need all of you guy help. I try many ways. try to delete some software, reinstall simtools software, try to change to my other new pc, install both version 2 and 3. It also has same problem. I also try to install with my other notebook with reinstall windows, it also has same problem. I find that the error will occur when i just bring hdmi cable to touch hdmi port.

It sounds like something is not properly grounded, is there any cable damage to anything?
Someone trip over a cable maybe?

Have you moved the location of your sim or pc lately?
Maybe the wall plugin is not properly grounded?

Yes, I had moved location to my new extension room on oct. That time it also had an error and I solved by changing usb extension cable. Now it's still in the same room. But i will recheck by testing with other room as you mentioned.

Did you use a multi-meter or something to check if it's properly grounded?

When testing, i connect only this sim motion actuator to usb for testing. nothing connect to my notebook.
I have 2 set of sim motion actuators, all both can use last month.
1st notebook - window 11, simtool 2 & 3, steam, xbox pc game pass, logitech driver, thrustmaster t300, th8a, tss handbrake driver, it's all the same condition like last month that I still can use.
2nd notebook - I just reinstall with win 10 and install only simtools app for testing. but it's same error.
3rd pc - just build up install window 11, triple monitors with dp port, simtools 2 & 3, steam, xbox pc game pass, ea app, and dbox software use with fanatec dd pro. I test simtools with chinese sim motion, it's the same error. dbox can use normally.

That you get the same issue with multiple computers and operating systems really does suggest something is not properly grounded, which may be the hardware and/or wiring.

What is the issue on the machine that is not working, is there an error message or error sound notification, does something unexpectedly crash SimTools? I presume the setting are the same as the machine that does work, but it pays to check you did not make a mistake.
