Simu 6DOF with aasd15a motors and Thanos

After a long thinking i start to build my 6DOF simu.
It ll be a usual frame with 6 aasd15 servo drivers and thanos controller.

I build this sim in one Fablab, LabSud of Montpellier city ( south of France ).
At the begining, i started with 3D printers but now i change for alluminium.

i ll follow Peacmaker ideas for mine excpet i must to dismount/mount esasyly becaus it s in the middle of my dinning room.
Too high for my roof ...
i start to build this idea

for the end, i ll use this instead of one box

I start with the frame on the ground

Need to clean and paint but first part is finish. i ll use bolts to dismount / fix all.

With all the tools of my Fablab, i can work better and faster

Actuators are not fully finish because i m waitting one pice so time to take care of power controller.
One steel fram and one box in wood around. Big box ll cut pefectly with 180w lazer.

Ccreation of the cylinder fixing.
To finish the actuators , the up and down axes are now just missing.

Painting time., i start the seat and the electronic for the cockpit

This week, it was video test with 3 projectors

Oh god, shouldn't have seen that. Will the surface still be properly tensioned?

No, it's being tested because I don't know the height. It's just a white sheet hung with pins

Will you be using a cylindrical projection in combination with a 6DOF platform? Will those projectors and projection surfaces be mounted on the platform?
I hope so, 'cos that would be a first! Awesome!

It is not really cylindrical but it is a half-cylinder of 2.20 m in diameter with a U on both sides of 90 cm.

I don't have enough space in my apartment at the moment since the 3 projectors are fixed to the ceiling. I will need a gymnasium or a cathedral....

i test the motion today and it s alive !!!!
I dont see where to add direct video mp4 so i ll add pictures.


Next, i ll test 1 transducteur and 1 double fan for the wind.

Fist test with one humman ....
