    Hi,

i've build myself a working 3DOF (roll, pitch and heave) and want to make it easier to get in and out of the seat.

I found that in SimTools v2 there is a way to make the rig go to a desired position when outside of a game, by using the "Startup - Output" and "Shutdown - Output" options in the Interface Settings of SimTools.

I am using a Arduino running SMC3, so I entered [A<80>][B<80>][C<80>] for both Startup and Shutdown output- see the attached picture. I was expecting that the rig will go to a position thats somewhat lower than centered while i'm not in a game.

However, it doesn't work. The seat always stays centered. It doesn't make a difference what positional values i enter and what ms delay values I'm entering. I've tried 10, 100 and 5000 ms.

    Am I missing something?

I don't see the startup command doing anything here, as the regular interface output starts right after, and In v2 it is always centered. But for the shutdown routine you could try [A<0>][B<0>][C<0>] .
In v2 everything was always centered, so my guess is the interface itself centers itself on shutdown (eventually whipping out the shutdown command).

This is all remedied in v3 thou, maybe give v3 a shot, as its a free upgrade for all v2 user's.
    Take care!
