    Hello,
I just built my first 2dof. I used IBT2 and 250W 75rpm motors. After connecting everything, I tested the motors in the SMC3 Utils program and everything seems to work properly there. However, I have a problem with SimTools. After setting everything according to the guides, when I go to test the outputs, my 2dof does not respond to slider movements. I reinstalled the Arduino IDE, re-uploaded the program to Arduino UNO, and turned off Windows Defender. Please help, I can't think of anything else.

Do you mean SMC3 Utilis? Yes, I turn it off every time before running SimTools.
I'll try to change the region soon, because the default setting is Polish. I'm also posting a photo of the test. Don't pay attention to the port name, I recently changed the port for arduino from COM3 to COM4, but that didn't help either.

EDIT: I changed the region and language, reinstalled SimTools. Still unchanged. I noticed that when I click "Turn on" in output testing, I don't have the countdown 3,2,1 but immediately the "-" sign. This is strange because when I disconnect the Arduino cable from the computer and run Simtools, a message is displayed that there is no connection to COM4.

The port is what I wanted to check, so is this a current test on port 4?

Yes, earlier, as you saw, I had COM3 in the simtools settings, of course it was also set in SMC3 Utils. I recently changed to COM4 so I changed to SMC3 Utils and Simtools.
Please read the EDIT to the previous comment

I would also like to add that the problem also occurs on the second computer. I don't know what I'm doing wrong, I also tested Simtools V3 but no changes. Could the operating system have any significance here (Win 11) or a bad connection of the cables to the board? Or maybe just the Arduino (I have clone). The strange thing is that SMC3 Utils works normally, I can control the motors and everything works properly

The most likely issues are misconfiguration, or something like antivirus interfering with communication.

Everything is working now! Every time I tested the motors in SMC3 Utils, I adjusted the PWM max. After each test, I set its value again to "0", which caused the motors to not work in SimTools.
I have one more question, I noticed that one motor responds differently to the set value, one is more precise, it needs a lower PWM max value to follow the blue line, the other motor must have, for example, 10 points more to achieve such results. Both are of the same brand, with the same rotation speed, Hall sensors too. Does it have any real significance, can I give a higher value for one motor so that the green one matches the blue one better?

There can be hardware quality variations, even of the same brand, so if necessary adjust for the best output of each.
