    Hi there,

I am starting to build my own sim rig, because there is much more information available to do it yourself.

I played racing games since i was young. And because simracing is now very booming i was thinking to taking it to a next level. (And becuase my old wheel died).

I like to build stuff myself for multiple reasons; I like to learn thinks, I like to build things, and for me it is a (cheap) way to make things.

Some unrelated projects that i made: Jeroen1278 - YouTube
So i started out with the search if someone made a arduino based force feedback wheel.
I ended up copying this project: Tutorial Steering Wheel with Arduino Leonardo | KASKUS
The setup is still in mockup fase.

And then i was thinking, well if i gone a make a rig then it has to move.
So i googeld and landed here, Tutorial - SMC3 Arduino 3DOF Motor Driver and Windows Utilities (xsimulator.net).So thank you so much for doing al the hard work.
My setup is still in mockup fase.

I build in fases, so my first priorty is to getting everything to work (electrics, software).
    And i think it does.
Now it is time to start the design of the wheel and pedals.
So i will keep you posted.

Last couple of weeks i started with buiding the frame.
For this setup i am gone use:

    - 2x BTS7960
    - 2x 24 Volt reduction motors (wipermotors)
    - Arduino uno
    - A lot of aluminium profile
    - A lot of nuts and bolts.

For the time being i bolted it together, and later on i am gone make the adjustments needed.

Slowly i am getting to a functioning rig.
I decided to build my own seat with the same profile i used for the frame, and the heavy duty coupling is also home made.

Currently i am working on a couple of things a the same time: electronics, mechanics frame, and steering wheel. So i have got a lot of work to do.
    I will keep you posted.
