    I followed the guide step by step and I would like to point out that this is the second simulator I have built. connecting everything as per the diagram and driving the motor never reverses the direction, it goes from 0 to 12 v but it never changes the polarity and therefore does not reverse the gear. I changed everything... but I can't figure out what the problem is.

    MODE2:

    Edit the SMC3 code for Mode 2 like this.

    Arduino to H-Bridge (Chinese 43A)

    ENA ----> IN1/RPWM
    ENB --+-> EN1/R_EN
    +-> EN2/L_EN (ie connect ENB to both R_EN and L_EN)
    PWM ----> IN2/L_PWM
    n.c. ----> IS1/R_IS
    n.c. ----> IS2/L_IS
    +5V ----> VCC
    GND ----> GND

    The image below shows wiring for two motors... Thanks to @@eaorobbie for getting me started with the image :thumbs

    Have you tested and determined the IBT2s are not damaged.

    Is the pot properly centered?

    Can you please post a picture of all of your SMC3 settings, and another running Sine test.

    The simulator had been working properly for weeks. then it stopped working because it overheated. at what point the Arduino was no longer recognized by Windows. I replaced the engine one time leaving everything else intact..... nothing. I replaced the Arduino (always loaded code with mod2)... nothing.....I also replaced IBM 2 and rewired everything from scratch.... nothing. most likely I'm doing something wrong but I can't understand where... Arduino wiring of the protection (direction) probably now I'm also confusing with the connections, so I left only one motor active. As soon as possible I'll post the image of the connection and the utility... I don't understand... before it worked perfectly for me.
    After i post the image.
    For now thank you

    Does Windows recognize the new Arduino and assign it a port in Device Manager?

    Windows e simutility they correctly recognize both the port and the device.
    the only problem is that the motor does not reverse the direction of travel because the potential never changes sign.

    I solved!!!!! as luck would have it, for some strange reason even the new IBT2 were knocked out. I got two new ones and now it works both ways.

    Glad you got that sorted :thumbs

    IBT2s are built down to a price and members have reported faults, as well as damage when running them at 24v.
