hi, i am arta from bali, i am trying to build 2 dof motion with a bus motor wiper (maybe one day i will upgrade the motor to a more powerful one) this is the image when i built the dof 2 framework. wait for the next update

If there are suggestions for the future, what should I prepare again, you can comment

Thanks for sharing your rig and progress :thumbs

Just some comments and observations for your consideration.

Are the wiper motors ground isolated: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/wiper-motor-mandatory-ground-isolation.25/

It is best to have the universal joint as near the seat base as possible, rather than in the middle if the upright, as the latter can result in bigger loads on the motor and some odd movement geometry: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/universal-joint-placement.108/

This looks to be a compact design, if so wiper motors may struggle, as they do not have a lot of torque.

You're welcome, nice to share, is it better to use a rod end or tie rod, sir? because some people I ask make me confused. yes I will study the focus, sir, if there is a bag please help me. yes my plan is when all my rigs are finished and can move I will save more to buy a stronger motot. because of this wiper motor I bought a second hand at a bus demolition near my city, so to save costs. oh yes, everything I used was the former master used hollow iron, the used welding machine was broken (I repaired it then immediately learned to weld directly to weld the rig) I had the joy of building this rig

oh my god, I have thrown away all the tie rods I have, about 8 rods, because many suggest using end rods. in my place it's easier to find a used bus car tie rod. I will look again. oh yes, besides the placement of the U joit that should be close to the seat (top rig) what else should I change sir ?? what about the placement of the master wiper motor? should it be under the chair? or away from the chair with the addition of more arms ??

That is a compact design, it is probably the least suited design for wiper motors because it needs a fair bit of torque to drive such a design with limited design leverage.

In other words, the closer the motors are mounted to the pivot the more torque that is needed to drive the rig.

You can play with SimCalc to see the tradeoffs between design and physics: https://www.xsimulator.net/communit...e-linear-speed-and-forces-of-your-design.270/

how about like this sir? this recommendation? add an arm a little way behind the chair. or more recommendations such as the link that you provided. so that in the future I can change the design of my rig again before I weld it firmly and paint it.

I also found people who sell motors such as wiper motors, but with metal gears. the seller said the torque is 90kg. is that more recommended? so that I can buy it, or first try with the existing wiper motor until the wiper motor is really damaged. motor as shown.

As mentioned the further the motor mount from the pivot the better, while what you have drawn will work a shoulder mount is a more common approach.

I would suggest do your rig development and testing with whatever motor you have and save up for more powerful DC motors, something like these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/GEAR-MOTOR...L-FEED-SIMULATOR-75-80RPM-50-1-/371596157992?

OK sir, in other words the lever on the shoulder is more efficient in space, OK, I'll change the base as suggested sir and I will also learn how to use the calculator

And 1 of my motor wiper bosch cannot run i have chech spul are oke, but this motor with 3 cold(carbon brush) sir.
