Hi everyone, I'm Alexander and I'm from Madagascar.
I'm new to the forum and looked over all the DIY DD wheel projects but haven't started yet because it's hard to find some parts (Arduino, h-bridge, etc).
So I have an old Driving Force GT that I want to tweak and modify to make it work as a Direct drive wheel using AC or DC motor.
I've seen many tutorials on how to make it a drive belt wheel but, I'd like to know if it is possible or if someone has ever tried to make it happen and HOW TO.
All kinds of ideas are welcomed.
    Thanks in advance.

Start with a decent motor and add a wheel to that.

The logitech wheel uses gears and is not suitable imo

Hi Gadget999, could you give some reference about the motor replacement? And about belt driving, is this worth the effort on it?

You would be better to upgrade the motors on the logitech wheel

Thanks, but can you tell me what type of motor should I use to upgrade it? Any reference or like that?
