I'll preface this by saying that I have NO experience in game coding, this is just curiosity.

Unreal Engine 4 can be downloaded for free, so it got me wondering; what is involved in getting telemetry from games? Is there a skeleton that has "sensors" on it to transmit information to an output that simtools can take advantage of?

If you don't know how that works specifically in UE4 that's okay, I'm just using it as a reference because my favourite VR game (so far) is called AirCar and I'd love to mod it and add telemetry outputs for my future sim chair.

So if you are building your own game in UE4 it is super easy to export data out of UE4.
However if there is an existing game that is built you can't edit the project and add in your own code. That is why SimTools exists so you can plug into games that don't export the data :D

Does that mean that you can also create a plugin for ACC that looks like the ACTI plugin for AC? So you can use the Motec software?
