Question V2 interface plugin can`t use in V3?

    I'm using SimTools V2 version now, and recently I wanted to play EA Sports WRC, but I found that there is no V2 version of the game plugin. I then studied how to upgrade SimTools to V3. After downloading the software, I was stumped when it came time to set up the interface. The plugin name I used in the V2 version is NanotecC5E, and the new version V3 does not have this plugin. I searched for many articles and did not find any mention of this plugin. I don't know where to start, so please help. I've also tried to take the V2 file and install it to the V3 version, but it prompts an invalid plugin.

    V2 and V3 plugins are not interchangeable. Many V2 plugins have been re-implemented for V3, but not all, with work being ongoing.

    Some newly released plugins are only available for V3.

    Your best option is that V2and V3 can be installed on the same computer and can use the same license.

    Thank you for your reply. I understand what you mean. I also installed both V2 and V3 at the same time, but the problem now is that my V3 cannot be set in the interface, so my V3 version cannot be used. I need such a plugin or corresponding configuration method.

    I have found that the stepper motor I am using is the PD4 USB model from nanotec company. It can be directly USB connected to a PC and a virtual COM serial port can be created. However, through the V3 interface or other brands' serial port settings, it is not possible to drive the PD4 stepper motor of nanotec normally.

    I JUST WANT TO PLAY EA SPORT WRC ON MY COMPUTER WITH SIMTOOLS V2 AND I CAN'T FIND A PLUGIN THAT WORKS FOR WRC.
    The plugins I find now are all V3, my interface is not well configured, and I can't use V3's simtools

    I took a closer look at it again, my device should be SCN connected, in V3, I tried the scn setting, but it still doesn't work, is there any other way?

    I am sure the SimTools dev @yobuddy would be willing to give advice re setting up your rig for v3, given it works with v2, which is by far easier than someone writing a plugin for v2, which is soon to be depreciated.

    Hi @long16652,
    We have not received an updated Nanotec interface plugin for v3 to post to the repo yet. But I believe the company does have a v3 plugin that they are handing out to customers that ask for it. I will PM you an email for the guy who helped the last Nanotec customer who asked for an interface for v3.
