That is really amazing. It took me a few turns to even figure out which one was real. I've been waiting to see if AC would go on sale, but I think it is time to just buy it!

Imho the game is worth every penny but if you can still wait there will be a sale before summer holidays as usual because of silly season.

And I say a little prayer each night that the AC devs implement proper VR support sooner rather than later!

I agree, hopefully they do so, as long as this will not happen VR is no option for me :)

You won't regret it, not only are the visuals realistic the physics are just superb for motion, far better than Project Cars.

I hadn't used AC for 2/3 months because of the poor VR implementation and used pCars meanwhile but with a bitter taste in mouth. After the latest update pCars is no more an option (for serious stimulation) and I love the (movable) apps of AC.

Very impressive! i love AC, the first game i bought since a long time. There must be a lot of work into game engine development and physical layout of the tracks, cars, etc.

Saw a video of it with a Oculus Rift DK2 and then i knew it was something i wanted :)

AC has changed a lot, before I did not like but is now very good at all.

I went ahead and bought AC. So far I've found it to be very good, but not great. The physics are the best I've tried. But the graphics and audio aren't as good as I expected. The graphics are solid, but not as good as Dirt3 or RaceRoom. Dirt3 has an arcade feel to it, so it is great fun but not a direct competitor to AC. But the combination of better graphics, better audio, and better feel to the controls puts RaceRoom well ahead of AC for me so far.

I've been messing with the graphics settings and it seems to be as good as it is going to get. I do need to adjust the controls, as right now the brake is wildly over sensitive. But I'm guessing I need to start adding mods to really get AC up to the level I've seen in some YouTube videos. Time to go through the AC mods thread in detail.

There are a bunch of AC mods you can use to improve graphics, @Nick Moxley is usually the best source for info on the latest and greatest.

For the graphic part you should have a look at the SweetFX thread and the Natural pp filter mod (both you'll also find at Racedepartment). The result of both is crispy and pretty real, something when you look at videos or pictures you have to look twice if the photo is taken in a real environment or not.

This is really amazing. I can’t tell at the outset which one is true.

Will the reality be synchronized with the game, how is this done?
    Really want to know.

At least two or three times I have watched a long video of laps or toge and not realized until the end that it was Assetto. And I have the game!
