    Hi everyone,

I want to build myself a rig with motion like this one here:

    https://www.scan.co.uk/3xs/info/racing-simulator-pc

I am looking for information on how I could go about doing so, but have no idea what terms I shoud be looking for. What do you call such a system? Can XSimulator and its software help me?

If someone has a link to a topic here or any info I thank you in advance!!

    My Motion Simulator:
    3DOF, DC motor, JRK
It is a 3DOF DBOX actuator powered full frame rig. DBOX actuators are exceedingly expensive so consider other options more suitable to DIY.

You could use SCN actuators: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/scn5-scn6.2/category

Or build your own actuators: https://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/diy-linear-actuators.248/

Or build a similar design driven by DC wormdrive motors.

But it sounds like you should spend some time researching before diving in.

Start by having a look at existing member builds, that may help you refine your own project ideas: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

You will find plenty to get you started in the FAQs, from design software, dimension of sims, to PSUs, pots, motors, JRKs, Arduino code and Motor Monsters, plus heaps more: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/

We have a glossary for all those acronyms we tend to use, which will help you decipher some descriptions: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/faq/glossary-of-acronyms-and-names.66/

When you are ready please start your own project thread here: http://www.xsimulator.net/community/forums/diy-motion-simulator-projects.22/

Feel free to ask questions on your build thread, the members here give freely of both their time and expertise.

    Good luck with your project.
