XP10 is now end of life. All future development will be with XP11. So like in the past you will eventually have to move up to get all the great features. In particular the forthcoming Vulkan video driver which will be game changer with respect to FPS. I have found that XP11 is better on framerate than previous versions especially the latest beta release candidate

@SixDegreesOfFlight - are you running XP11 in VR? The full version? Just curious if it works. All I could find on the FlyInside boards was that it was working with the demo.

I have been on the beta XP11 since it started. It has been quite a ride ;)
XP11 works absolutely fine on my rig. I have a 5820k overclocked (6 cores no HT) to 4.5G on water, into a 1080 extreme on 512GB SSD. Win10 x64 Creators edition with 32GB ram and the Vive. The Vive is on highest resolution with most sliders in XP11 across to the right except for AA which even for the 1080 kills the framerate. I am flying around 35-40FPS on Otho scenery 17. All this is through the FlyInside plugin 1.8.

There are still things which are not quite right such as pop-up windows. This has been an ongoing issue for ages. Works fine on P3D but not XP.

I have to run XP because it has the best flight model hands down.

Sounds cool, Six! Thanks! Looking forward to trying it out. The screenshots are beautiful! Our systems are just about identical too so looking forward to good frames.

Are you getting/running the full version?

Once the beta version came out I purchased it because it was cheaper than when it would be finally released and that at some point I would have to move to it anyway. I read an article at Helisimmer that XP11 had best flight model of any simulator including DCS.

Well, done deal. I got the full version and am very impressed. It's the first time flying in my home area that the scenery actually looks like it is in real life. I live near mountains and FSX even with Orbx meshes and such turned up, they never looked like they do in real life. In XP11, my approaches felt good and the scenery just felt right. I did see some glitches in the views, though. If I looked close at the GPS display and adjusted anything, the view would go a little weird when looking back out the cockpit. Changing view to spot and back to cockpit fixes it so not too bad.

Lots to explore. I still have my copies of 9 and 10 but 11 is a quantum leap above. I'll have to see what other planes are out there and such, but I think with motion, XP11 could be a wild experience!

    Thanks, Six!
