    My Motion Simulator:
    DC motor, Arduino
Hello! I've been working on a custom steering wheel for a little bit but I think I messed up when choosing my gear ratio. The wheel isn't complete but the pulley ratio I chose is 20t:80t (1:4) on HTD 3M. The motor is the 24v 20A 350W version. However I think I've chosen the wrong gear ratio and severely hindered max performance.

At the motor, max torque is 1.25nm, with the pulleys it's 5nm, at the wheel it should be around 25nm if I did the math right.

The issue is it's a 3000rpm motor, and 1:4 takes it from 3k to 750rpm which is waaay to high. If I want to make it 150rpm max, I'll have to reduce the speed to 1/5th, and I'm worried that this will also reduce torque down to 5nm only (1/5th). Should I switch. To something like 15T:120T? Or would limiting rpm speed not affect max torque?
