Feel free to download our new win32 desktop tool to be notified about the latest x-sim posts nearly in realtime.
Just unzip and start it - ready!

It based on the forumspy tool from x-perience DOT com and credits goes to the author Mike Dogon. Unfortunately the author isn´t reachable any longer, because there are some missing features in it. So help is appreciated to develop our own notifier tool.

One really important thing has to be done:
Open Firefox as the default Browser (if you like - but you should  ). Actually there is no way to prevent IE from open itself!

For developers: Integration of the notifier in a own tool should be really simple. Just take a look at forumspy.php. That HTML output should be integrate into a win32 binary.

Offcourse, it would be nice to have it as executable file for linux user, too ;)

Hope you like it. Thanks to Egoexpress, who found that smart tool.

I have had this tool for a long time now. Today when my virus scan ran, it reported that ForumSpy.exe contained a Trojan virus.

I tried re-downloading the tool above to see if the original file was infected. Here is the result:

False Positive? I dont have time right now to investigate.

My avast gives the alert, as well, but it´s a false alert! the zip container is untouched and in it was never recognized a virus before.
That´s a bad mistake of the virus scanner :thbd:

Therefore I think it is better to deactivate the tool for downloading it any longer.
I`ll wait if the next Avast update will solve the bad issue.

Anyone able to confirm the alert with antivir, kaspersky, etc?
