Intro: Hello, I’ve just started looking at the X-sim SW. Last night I got Force Sender to work on my Windows Vista PC. I could see my joystick movements remote on a Windows XP PC running X-Sim Profiler. But when I tried Yoda2 I ran into problems.

Q Is Yoda2 compatible with Vista? I got an error message like “Could not insert Hook Code” or something. I tried with no plugin in Force Sender.

OK, thanks! I'll start building and hopefully V2.0 is out in the time I get the sim to work. I can use a XP PC during development.

BTW: Thank you for developing this SW and running this website. You made me start building a sim. I have always thought it would be too much work. You will gain a lot more attention as your site is translated to English.

Thank you I'll try to disable UAC. It would be nice if I could send the force's from my Vista Game PC and let the profiler run on XP. Nice if it works now, but it is not a show stopper.

BTW, impressive that you answer that quick!

    Yoda is working on Vista

Thank you sirnoname. I disabled UAC as your link suggested, and tried LFS with force sender and profiler. Eureka! It works under Vista!! :D  (You have to use the Admin account that is enabled)

Now I have to open a DIY thread, cause an USB interface its on its way and I found a local supplier of SMC valves and cylinders. Let the project begin!

Does yoda scanner also work in vista?Because i don't capture any movement in Yoda-scanner. But I see the movement in Force-Profiler.

Is this because i don't have non feedback joystick?

What did you in see in Force-Profile?I see only the number change in X/y/Z-Axis and the buttons. Is this normal?

Why haven't you tried Yoda-scanner yet? Is it not important for the konfiguration? mm. what does actually that scanner do?

I use Force Sender with the LFS plugin/outsim interface. Then I run either LFS or DiRT after enabling the motion output in their config files. You'll see motion data in the outsim window and if data is sent to the profiler you will see them in the numbered list in the upper right corner.

Yoda Scanner I believe, becomes useful if you use a game that Force Sender do not have a plugin for.

X/Y/Z/Buttons is from the joystick. If you have one connected and not a game, then it is perfectly normal.

You should start your own thread in the DIY section. This is a bit off this threads topic.

It is correct that you only see numbers from 21 and up. You should use G-force effect number 21 and 22 (long/lat accelleration) at first. Then you could experiment with effect 29 which is vertical accelleration and map it to forward/backward motion.

    Take a look here:

    Thanks SimHawk,

Now i know that not Vista issue. I'd though, I don't see the number because yoda is not compatible with Vista.

I must say, Remoteprofiler and sender works.

but remote yoda and yoda dont work. (no data will be captured). Maybe I have done something wrong.
