I am building a motion platform and will be using a VR headset. Even in VR a physical yoke is needed for a good flight experience, which I want to place as close as possible to the position that's shown in VR. If I do so for the Cessna 172 it would appear that the yoke needs to be positioned slightly right of the center line going through the seat (and myself). Does anybody know whether in a real life Cessna the yoke is exactly in front of the pilot (left seat), or offset to the right? And if so, how far?

from my experience riding in a 182 the yokes look to be centered for both pilot and co pilot.
