Thanks Al, As per the Pot i plan to run, I had to alternatively go with a larger gear (19T) to keep my rotation within the window i want. In turn I needed a larger Hub to weld onto, The Thing weighed a Tonne so went to buddy's place and played on his mill and lathe for a good hour or so.

    The end result,

THE FINAL Gearing setup, Ive drilled the idle bolt and motor hole in the base already, so im 100% committed to this setup.

Lame....Gearing didn't work after tearing the rig down, assembling the base and getting it all rigged up....The Chain Tensions up as the frame swings to the right. I'm kinda assuming the Idle gear is Too high and maybe lowering it might fix the problem. I really dont know. I almost need someone to draw this on sketchup and see the angles as they work. I'm not at all familiar with those programs however.

    Anyone ?

True, but where would we be without a little experimentation to push the boundaries of what works and what doesn't.

My chain drives for Traction loss and surge are still working? I did not comment on your design as I have never tried it. Maybe something similar to this could have worked better? Basically similar in design to a chain driven actuator.

Thanks for the suggestion SeatTime, I Unfortunately should have tested the waters a little more with my planned setup. Oh well. No big deal. Already figured out how to correct the issue and use stuff I already have laying around. This time around there's no guess work. 100mm lever and 2 rod ends and im done. lol

Had the option to redrill the base or go with the offset, Decided i can always drill more holes and centralize the motor if need be.

That seems a much simpler solution.

Really like your work !, but i wonder if there is enough leverage to give you a true feeling of traction loss ? That was the main reason I went to use gears.....oh well lets see how this will work out, its all an experiment . Have fun building :cheers And looking forward to your next update.

Thats the same as I did mine wich is also still working really well, only difference is ,I have is that the tensioner is at the free spinning gear.

Ok So finally got a day to play with the Traction Loss, Holy POOP!!!!!!! This is IMO More of a WOW experience than going from Static to a 2Dof seat mover. I built it to have 4" movement either side using a 105mm lever arm, At Full Stroke the motor Seriously snaps the neck if the cars Whipping back and forth, So much that In Crashes I found myself letting go of the wheel. Holding the Belts at my chest and "Bracing" for the impact. Motor broke the first set of "mechanical frame stops" So there's some juice there.....lol

The Overall Feeling of Not so much the Actual Rear end stepping Out, As there's Not a Game on this planet that actually outputs a "Traction loss" axis. Therefor the Software is left to its code thats been written to do what it does and IMO Simtools hit the nail on the Head. The feeling of Weight transfer, the feeling of the Tires squirming over, the VIOLENT snap when it kicks you is all there and i couldn't ask for much more. Looking at "other" softwares Traction loss setup's sometimes Dont looks at All to be Correct But then again that does all Boil down to the particular profile. Overall Im Super Duper impressed with the mod and If you have a seat mover i cant suggest this enough.

here's What she currently looks like.

OO and the new Kill Switch box is all done, KISS Theory being used and just going to source a single switch for the traction loss PS. Freekin relays and relay modules have my head in a ball of twine. o_O
