They seem like a pretty good upgrade to already good equipment to me buddy.
I think you will be quite happy with the upgrade.

    Wow!!!!!
    Talk about great timing!

Earlier today I went ahead with doing the exchange of my two unopened 12v12 JRK's for a pair of the newer G2's.
Glad to see official support in SimTools v2.3, which will hopefully aid in setup for a newb such as myself.

    Thanks for this update! :thumbs
Looking forward to downloading and playing around with it.

    Cheers!

I've got a ProSimu T1000 rig (SCN5 based, 3dof) - and after the latest update it feels as though there's some lag on my inputs. In particular I notice it with surge in Assetto Corsa - if I quickly tap the accelerator and let go, it seems like the motion doesn't catch up until almost a full second later.

In the release notes I see these changes:

    - Smoothing per DOF now carries double the weight
    - Main Profiling % (Smoothing) now carries double the weight

But I've tried cutting those values in half from what I used in the last version and am still experiencing this lag effect.

@yobuddy - any suggestion on what I should try to troubleshoot this?

Please remove smoothing all together and see how it goes.
Then if its gone add it back and see what happens.
Can I see some screen shots of your setup buddy?
Then I can look into it more tomorrow!
    Take care,

@yobuddy - Thanks for the quick response. I think I isolated the issue. I rely pretty heavily on filters to do subtle tuning of my effects - so I turned those all off and experimented with each filter type.

The problem doesn't appear to be Smoothing related - but actually Washout Gain?

More Washout Gain seems to be more lag on 2.3, but had no lag effect on 2.2.5:

However, removing Washout Gain entirely works perfectly well and restores the snappy speed of the effects:

I hope this information is helpful, and helps anyone else who might have this problem.

I'll tweak my axis setups for now and I should be all set :)

Without washout gain on, washout simply is not used.
But if washout gain is on, then return should be on also.
In the picture, with Gain at 50% and return at 0%, it would "wipe out" at normal speed but return to center very, very slowly.

Please try setting both Gain and Return to 50% and I bet it will work.
(That is if you need washout.)

    Take care,
    yobuddy

Yes, the update supports existing SimTools 2 plugins.

@yobuddy , after installing version 2.3, my feelings on the simulator have changed, (maybe?), it is possible that the simulator reacts differently after this update without any changes in the settings??

    @yobuddy a little clarification please...
also for this last update, for those using actuators, is necessary remove the Interface Settings in SimTools before upgrade from v2.2.5 at new v2.3 and then, proceed by re-apply them after?
    Thanks for the reply :thumbs

    @misoswan
You need to update the firmware on the card to his latest release.
He changed the communications protocol a bit.

    Take care,
