Broken GS-4 Gseat that needs to be resurrect

I might want to try your setup but not sure if the arduino can support with 16 pcs servos current draw directly

I agree that wiring the servos in parallel should work. In my previous setup, I had a total of 16 RC servos wired to one Arduino (no separate power supply to the Arduino) and it worked perfectly. I wonder whether something may have been wrong with your wiring previously like a loose connection? I would maybe try it again.

Well in that case, im going to have a look it again. May i know, are you using the same arduino sketch provided by @noorbeast ?

I modified the original code myself but my PC is not accessible until next week. I’ll upload it when I find the code.

I have made a video to you better understand my problem. When in parallel wiring the servo moving uncontrolable. But when i did individual it seems working good.



Before that i have blew 1 of my servos by accidently swap over + and -..arghhhh


Suprisingly the gs4 using this simple joint as pivot point.

Parallel worked for me, maybe not with those servos. Good to see your sorting it out .

Thanks @SeatTime , im thinking the same, maybe my servo is different because the size and spec is higher then normal RC servos usually uses. But anyway im going to try it again and reconfirm before i proceed to cut original wires in GS4 seat for individual signal pin out.

And also try it with a separate power supply for the Arduino, e. g. 9V.

There is a low cost board called a PCA9685 16 Channel 12-Bit PWM Servo Motor Driver IIC Module for Arduino that can run 16 servos independently from the IC2 lines of an Arduino. Just 2 wires for data, and a ground plus 5vdc. You chain boards together for at least 64 servos.
I am playing around with the code but I am not a good programmer.
There is an AdaFruit library with examples.
Interfacing the Arduino with the serial option on Simtools is difficult for me to implement.
A more experienced member (a Pro) on the forum might be able to look at what's needed..
