Now watch how good the spike filter works handling crashes, while allowing the highest details and vibration while racing:

    For 4DOF PT-ACTUATOR platform (spike level 1800):

And a longer version from CV (PT Motion Owners Club group):

For DIY 6DOF platform, 450mm stroke actuators and various spike levels for comparison:

It sure is a game changer!!! Off to adapt the spike filter on more of my controllers... :cheers

Talking about jolts and vibrations, you can go completely opposite way, have all the road details unfiltered from the game (100% intensity in simtools) and still survive crashes like a boss:

Just see the amount of vibration detail running over the curb on this "camera on board" clip. Bonus: Crashing with Spike Filter is like the crash motion cue is erased before it even reaches the actuators!!

    Thanks

Realistic Level D cockpit, requires realistic, almost 270 degrees peripheral screens. The frame is ready for mounting...

    Hi Thanos,
I tried to order the board from tindie, but there is no delivery options to Finland.
I was hoping to build a sfx-100 system using your board.
Hopefully deliveries will be possible in the future??

I have a notice on the Tindie Page about it. I suspended international shipping for now, as I cannot visit the Post office in person and its required to fill out customs forms etc. I mentioned instructions for alternative source for the AMC-AASD15A controller from PT-Actuator factory in China. Contact Mr Shao there and he will be glad to help, he can ship anywhere in the world and the controller includes metal enclosure in the price ;)

Or for a bit extra dollars you can get it with the 7th servo connector on it:

Mike's 6DOF platform with AASD-15A servomotors is almost complete, screen is mounted and calibrated and cockpit instruments are installed in the nose section... All this while in self-isolation. Stay safe from the Coronavirus!!!

I have a quick question about wiring the Park and E-stop buttons. Is the park button a on / off button or a momentary button? Also it looks like it jump tie the 2 center poles on the board together correct?

    Hi @Thanos
Im in the market now for 80ST-M02430

Ive noticed the adverts are showing 2 versions of the drivers.
Is there something different about these that makes one better than the other?

Trouble is that seller is +33% more cost.
I appreciate that a recommended seller by you has value but Im willing to take a chance on another seller to save 33%
Do you think the this one would be viable?

    edit-
I noticed that one driver has modbus support and the cheaper one does not.
Do we need modbus support for your controller?

You want the drive on top. Its an aasd15a.
The one on the bottom is a different drive. It would probably work too but you run the risk its not plug and play. The pinouts for these drives change from brand to brand.

We only have that crappy low resolution image to go by so there is indeed a risk. You could tell the vendor that you need the drive to say aasd15a on it or ask for a close up photo of the label. Dont expect much help from the cheapest deal on the net.

No need for modbus support. Thanos uses step and dir, among other things.

It might be one of those too good to be true prices.
I'll think I'll leave it and wait for a sale to come up somewhere.
    Cheers

I see now looking at them more closely that we want the ones with the heatsink on the side.

    edit-
Both sellers are representing that they are AASDA-15A and I noticed other sellers also doing the same with both images.
It looks like there are 2 varieties of AASDA-15A but it makes sense the ones with heatsink on the side are the better pick.

Yes, I think the cheaper one has smaller heatsink with a fan.

No, but you can find matching gearboxes with a little search:

Alright, I know Im spending too many hours hunting for best price, but this is sport for me.
I have to pull the trigger because its taking me away from my desk work too much.
After hours of searching, the best deal for the proper drive is this one below.
Gotta screen shot these things because prices in links keep changing. This is only good for the rest of this week. Works out AU$2165 inc delivery +tax
I'm only searching for the drives with the white sticker across the top of them. And the heatsink has some type of componentt fixed to the flat face of the heatsick. These seem to be the correct version.

    Hi JAD
Youre motor is a 90st size a nema32 gearbox wont fit.
It isnt a big problem because planetary gearboxes are made in all ST sizes.
ST 90 means the motor got a square flange of 90mm, if you look with planetary gearbox 90mm on ali you will find them
This count for all ST sizes just put the number in mm after gearbox.
But be carefull there are different input bores.
    sorry for the bad english
    Regards AD
